Fixin' Up Da New Place . . .
Mar. 6th, 2006 10:17 am-Installed a bolt on the door we're going to leave shut, but which doesn't latch properly. Let us take a moment to cuss out manufacturers who provide you with screws made out of metal so soft, the heads twist right off if you meet the slightest resistance.
-Checked out the dryer electricity situation. God bless the Straight Blade NEMA Chart. Plug is 10-30P 3 Pole 3 Wire (125/250V, 30A), socket is 14-30R 3 Pole 4 Wire Grounding (also 125/250V, 30A). All I need is a new cord or an adapter, excellent.
-Moving crap down to the basement proceeds apace.
-Let's see if I can get the wireless up and running before end of day as well . . .

More Progress
Mar. 6th, 2006 10:10 pm-We have wireless set up. Secure wireless, even.
-The dryer has a new plug on it that will actually go in the socket.
-We have a stopper for the bathtub.
-I talked to a recruiter, a potential hiring manager, and sent out resumes to a couple opportunities.
-I even found time to pick up last week's comics.
-I feel like such a grownup. Even with the comics.
