-Left work early on Friday to drive into the city and talk with some recruiters. I'm not overly impressed with their operation, but they seem to get results. Afterwards, drove back out to the Diesel, hung out for a while, then drove into Medford to meet Bey/![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
buxom_bey and sign the lease on our new apartment. (Glee!) We also took some pictures, which will be posted at some point.
-Bey and I then drove back to her place in Salem, where we hung out with Chad and Shondra (sp?) and watched Battlestar Galactica. Annie/asciikitty and I talked recently about how the crew of the Serenity in Firefly live in a gray area on the edge of society, and try to do right. By comparison, the crew of the Galactica are riding on the thin edge of extinction, of the literal end of humanity, and while they may want to do right, all their options are so fraught with horrific consequence, that they have to do terrible things just to survive.
-Which is to say: Dude, this show rocks.
-This afternoon, a lovely date with Zeph/cathijosephine, which started with just cuddling on the couch, then we did some walking in the sunshine, and I got to watch while Zeph tried on embroidered jeans. We had dinner at an Italian place in Quincy called, I believe, Xs and Os. Good food, somewhat iffy service. Then back to her place for naps. Amusing quote: "Jon, there's an order of operations here. Like in math. Food, sex, nap, food." "You'd be delighted if that was your entire life, wouldn't you?" "Uh-huh!"
-And now home again, home again.
