Those Wacky Texans

-So, yesterday the state of Texas voted to approve the following amendment to their state constitution:
SECTION 1. Article I, Texas Constitution, is amended by adding Section 32 to read as follows:
Sec. 32. (a) Marriage in this state shall consist only of the union of one man and one woman.
(b) This state or a political subdivision of this state may not create or recognize any legal status identical or similar to marriage.
-Anybody notice a problem with clause b? Strip out a few clauses, and it reads, "This state may not recognize any marriage."
(Assuming that the state of marriage is identical to itself. Which I feel confident in assuming.)
-There are already Texan divorce lawyers saying, "I'm going to get rich off of this."
[rolls eyes] Can I just say, "Yay, Massachusetts!" one more time?
