-Went to see The Village yesterday, and enjoyed it. I'm having a lot of fun working out the symbolism. But, this post is about the trailer I saw:
They told me there was nothing out there, nothing to fear. But the night my parents were murdered I caught a glimpse of something. I've looked for it ever since. I went around the world, searched in all the shadows. And there is something out there in the darkness, something terrifying, something that will not stop until it gets revenge.
Me.
-Yeah, baby. Batman Begins. This movie is going to be about the years between the deaths of Thomas and Martha Wayne, and the day Bruce puts on the suit. He spent those years wandering the world, learning everything he needed to know to fight evil.
-And did I mention the cast? The only one I saw in the trailer was Christian Bale as Bruce Wayne, and he looks great for the part. Not quite burly enough, but he's no Keaton. I'm getting the rest of the cast from the IMDb:
Ken Watanbe as Ra's al Ghul (an arch-villain),
Liam Neeson as Ducard (one of Bruce's teachers),
Gary frickin' Oldman as James Gordon,
Morgan Freeman as Lucius Fox (a Waynecorp officer),
and Michael goddamn Caine as Alfred Pennyworth!
(And Rutger Hauer, Katie Holmes, Tom Wilkinson, and "Jim" from 28 Days Later as the Scarecrow.)
-It is to Batgasm.
